Hey Ladies,
I was supa excited to receive my Jamila henna and indigo in the mail, I did everything correct, I followed Curly Nikki's recipe to the "T". After rinsing out the henna and after my d/c I started sneezing, and I sneezed and sneezed until I was sneezing almost every minute with a running nose which flowed out of my noise like running water and my eyes we beginning to swell. It took both allegra and benadryl x2 to make my reaction to come to an hault. Reming you the d/c I use is my regular so I know it was the henn or indigo the great part about it I love my hair, the color is gorgeous and my curls are sexy, I would like to henna again but I'm scared so have anyone besides myself been through this?? Thanks, Latoya

So sorry for your experience. I was going to try it but now I'm not so sure. Did you contact the company you orders from? There may be something wrong with that batch ...

I've never had an issue with henna. I've used it for two years - relaxed and natural.

where did you purchase your henna and indigo from? i have heard of allergic reactions to indigo with some people. perhaps, try it again but leave the indigo out and only try it on a small section of your hair.

I believe it's the indigo because I know someone who had the same reaction but they tried again without the indigo and was fine.
