Default Henna or not?

Soooo I bought the henna with indigo from mehandi and today I was reading that some people have shedding after application. Now I'm wondering should I even do this? I stopped perming for this reason because I am on prednisone and I cannot have this problem again! What to do?! I'm scared!

I have been using henna monthly for over a year now and my hair is actually shedding a lot less than it used to. Henna strengthens your hair so, over time, your hair should look and feel healthier and any breakage will be the result of normal shedding (as long as you trim regularly to keep any splits or knots at bay). Just be sure to use a deep conditioner immediately after you henna because it can be very drying.

I have some henna that I purchased from the local Indian Grocery store but I have been afraid to use it. I was wondering if you can use henna to condition/strengthen your hair after you color it with a rinse or permanent box color? Just curious. I don't know if I want to use the henna for conditioning or color. Still debating.

I've never had a problem with shedding or with henna and shedding. My mom told me that she noticed that after she began using henna that she no longer sheds like she used too.

I love using henna but I think I will have to stop for a while. It loosened the texture of my coils :-(

My hair was breaking, very badly. I did a henna because I hadn't in about 4 months and the breakage stopped almost instantly. I noticed the next detangling session that I didn't have as much hair in my brush. Hth
