The last time was on dry dirty hair and I didn't notice any difference either but I saved time because I didn't have to wash my hair...I'll do it this way again in 3 wks.

I wash my hair first because I actually shampoo my hair at every wash day. My hair would be way too dry feeling if I shampooed after henna'ing so I shampoo first and then follow up my henna with my dc.

According to hennaking.com since henna is not a chemical but natural you can henna as often as you would like. I've only henna'd my hair once and that was about 2.5 yrs ago but am buying up some henna now bc I want to definitely incorporate it in my by weekly routine. Especially it being much more healthier for hair.

Default same question, different reason

I do the henna to cover greys and I do it once a week, in those areas that are close to my face, no my whole head, and just roots. I just would like to know if you do get decent enough or same color uptake on dry, dirty hair because I've heard that wetting your hair a lot causes the cuticle to have to open and close multiple times and thus, it weakens your hair. And on my henna day, every Saturday, I wash/let dry, apply henna and then wet my hair/let it dry again on the same day. What do you all think about that, how bad is that to totally wet/dry twice in the same day??

Also, to hear more people say they get good dye uptake/or the same would make me feel good about this since many of you don't do it for color coverage, but more for protein, so for any who do it to cover grey, does it work on dirty hair??

I hear ya! One more question, even if I go to the gym, sweat a bit (Not drenching, but sweat) and let it dry, even after that do you think there will still be color uptake????
