Yeah I've heard quite few people use coconut oil, and I'm sure olive oil will work just as well, but traditionally its sunflower or sesame

I use sesame oil but I have also used sunflower oil. Started last September. I usually swish while showering or getting dressed. I aim for at least 15 mins each time.

I use Trader Joe's Organic Virgin Coconut Oil to do mines. I then rinse my mouth out and I brush my teeth with baking soda. I rarely use toothpaste anyway. I love the way my teeth feels afterwards plus my breath feels so much fresher. I read in a couple sites that you have to be careful spitting the coconut oil in the drain because it will solidify. You are supposed to do it first thing on the morning before you eat. So I do it while I take a shower or while I take my dog out.

I think you should call either a dentist or doctor and explain that you'd be using sunflower oil for oil pulling, I think quite a few dentists are now aware of this holistic practice therefore they should be able to give you information. HTH |

Check to see if she is using the toasted or roasted or flavored kind. The sesame seed oil to use is the plain kind that is a very, very light color. Its almost clear white with just a very light tint of yellow. It also does not have a strong flavor.

Unintentionally skipped a whole week. Going back through the phlegm stage. So gross. Not even so much that it's there but I have to force it out. I strangely didn't experience this part when I first started pulling. I did eat more fast food than I normally would in the last week or so though.
