I am now attempting to become completely healthy in every aspect of my life, but I find that this one particular health habit is really hard to kick. What did u ladies use as motivation to not pick up tht stick?! And how did u deal with the urgent cravings to have just one more?!

Sorry to hear that. Congrats for trying to be healthier. Things that help with the cravings, that most of these ladies uses as well are patches, gum, prayer, and redirection; just to name a few.

I have hear of the electronic cigarettes, but when I asked my doctor about them she told me not to use them. She said there wasn't enough known about them. But with that said, I know a lot of people that have used them and didn't have any problems. I'm glad it worked for you.

I still dream about smoking sometimes but it is MUCH easier now. I hope you all find your success this time around. And if you're not immediately successful just try again. Keep trying until you're clean.

Best wishes!
I'm so sorry for your loss, but thank you for being another person that can inspire us to stick with it.

I had a coworker that used chantix to quit smoking. It worked for him also. So that was what made me want to try it. I even went so far as to go to my docter to have her perscribe it to me, but then I realized the symptoms just weren't for me. I have battled with depression before in the past, and I didn't think that I should take something that would probably bring that back. I'm glad that it worked for you. Congrats on being smoke free now. How long has it been?

Best wait to deal with the craving is to think like a non- smoker !
Most time smoker have a reason to smoker :
1) stress ! Let's be honnest cigarette does not make the stress go away ! It just comfort you like a kid that suck their thumb ! It's soothing ! Find something else to sooth you !
2) it a habit ! Part of a routine ! Wake up have a cigarette , eat have a cigarette , break at work , talking on the phone !! Find some thing else to do

You have to really want to quit and understand that you have out grown the Need and it's in healthy but you already know that !!

Stress option : deep breathing, drink water , go for a walk , exercise, read a book or magazine, pray, meditate ... Listen to music.. Stretch ...

Habit option !! Change the routine : after a meal have tea or a gum !
Use a cinnamon stick , have a different morning routine ! Like eat first the take a shower or brush you teeth again !!

Let me know if I can help 😊😊😊
Happy quitting !!

Miss J
