Which manual pump.did you use? I tried the Advent and it didn't do a darn thing! I was thinking of the Medela manual.

I have both. The medela manual which I like a lot. It is s food option for relieving engorgement and the bottle here and there. If you're going to bottle feed more than occasionally you'll need an electric. Especially if you go back to work.

I have the medela and it is great for quick relief or fixing a quick bottle. I also have a double electric door when I go back to work.

Omg!!! Girl I would scream. I ebf my 5 month old. I have introduced solids because she was showing such a string interest in food. She was grabbing our spoons and leading them toward her mouth and she was knocking our food out of our hands. But I would have a fit to do this again to soon. I am not on birth control and I went on a sex strike just to make sure it wouldn't happen...lolol im new to this SAHM STUFF!! I feel like I never get a baby break. Maybe he's just talking that way because he misses you guys. Are you ready for another baby now??

My milk came in so quickly! (She's only 3 days old) and I hadn't anticipated needing a pump so soon.

I am considering a manual pump as I really don't want to spend the money on a electric one. Anyone else used a manual pump?

Congrats!!! I am using the medela free style pump (electric double pump) and I got a super cheap $6.99 from eBay) Manuel pump. I got tired of getting out and hooking up big Bertha when I was super tired. Especially when she started eating cereal I just needed a few ounces to mix it and I didn't want to be hooked up like a cow for that! Lol do what's best for you and your baby!

My mom is very helpful with my kids and right now she is putting the baby to sleep so I can take a quick nap. But check this out. My son has been extra fussy lately, so i'm going on a dairy free diet to set if it well help and giving him gas drops....so far its working. My mom never breastfed us so it catches me off guard when she gives me advice. My advice for this morning..... Give him some water in between feedings to help push the milk and air out of his belly.....hmmmm....i've never heard of this before and will not be doing it. She also said I should give him water for the hiccups. This is why I don't bring bottles to her house any more. She'll be giving him water or expressed milk while i'm sitting in another room with my breast practically leaking

Lol! It's like they can't comprehend the concept of the baby not having a bottle. With my older daughter I swear my mom used to get the shakes talking to me about giving her a bottle if anything! "You should pump some milk so I can give her some extra in the bottle so she can gain weight. I don't think she can get enough out by herself". Huh? She can't but the pump can?! "I think she needs some water. Can you imagine just drinking milk all day? Let me give her some water". Ummmmm.... If she was drinking formula would you give her water? "Formula is made out of water so you don't need to give then extra". Flash to me trying to explain that my milk is made if water and what foremilk is. Why did I even try. Lol! I never saw her as happy as when I have her 2 bottles of milk so my hubs and I could go to the movies. Lol! They just don't understand and that's ok. They're good at lots if other things

Omg!!! This is the story of my life right now!!! I wish she would just stick to what she is good at and let me handle the rest.

Gotta question not b'feeding related:

Is anyone dealing with weak legs and ankles? My son is seven weeks, and whenever I get up from sitting for an extended time my ankles and knees hurt. Also, when I go walking my pelvis is sore afterward. My previous pregnancies did not do this to me, but I also didn't make it as far into the pregnancy as I did this time.
