It's circulation...when putting lotion on your legs, try massaging...I know when you put on lotion its like you're massaging but not really...I've been doing it for the past months and it has really help...

Omg...I experience the exact same thing! Honestly sometimes my legs, back, stomach start to itch when I just step outside for a little walk. I always make the mistake of scratching because the itching sensation is so bad that I feel like I really have too. After I scratch I end up with red welts all over my body. I get so nauseous that I have to take a shower and get in the bed to try and calm down. It's horrible. That's why I never go for walks outside. If I do exercise, I do it indoors. I've been asking doctors for years to explain to me why this was happening and to this day not one of them can give me a explanation. It sucks because I'd like to participate in outdoor activities, but I always figured that I was allergic to nature. Which is ridiculous in itself considering that I don't have regular allergies.

I am so glad that I lucked out finding this post. It's nice to know that I'm not the only person in the world who experiences these itching sensations. Many times I've had to stop in the middle of a workout and go scratch (in private of course). The sensation was just that bad. I often just tell my workout partners that I just suddenly started to feel ill. It's embarrassing trying to avoid telling someone that you really need to scratch to get some relief. Or try to explain why you have red welts all over your body. The worst part is that it happens just about every time I attempt to go walking. Walking outside is a no-no for me. I can't do it. It happens sometimes when I am on the treadmill or elliptical. For a long time I thought that Gain laundry detergent was causing me to have those sensations. But I haven't used Gain in over a decade and I still itch all over.

Lactic acid buildup? Hmm, guess I'm gonna have to do some research on this. Thank you for sharing.

I cant believe this happens to other people! This is why I stopped running. My legs would itch so bad that id be hiking up my shorts scratching (like digging) my nails into my legs (which of course made it worse). My legs would get red and it would be like I was breaking out in hives or something. It would get so deep that it would make me nauseous. I told my husband about it and he laughed at me. Glad to know I'm not crazy. lol
