Emu Oil-Uses/Growth Progress

Post by Tracee214 on 2nd February 2010, 5:24 pm

Hello you guys. I've been lurking on other hair blogs and I just purchased this Emu oil on this past Saturday. I wanted to know has anyone else heard of it and if you've used it. If you have used it, could you please give me tips, and if your hair has grown or not. Thanks!

Ok, I'll post a review...I said I was at least going to give it two or three months. And see if there's any big difference. I just started out on it like a week ago.

I've used it, but not on my hair....you know to keep it in the refrigerator, right?

I have emu oil; I'm using it for a spot in the mid-front (ugh!) of my hair where my scalp was damaged...I think it was from relaxer use. Anyway, I've been using it sporatically for about a month and a half, and I honestly believe hair is growing back in that area! I want to give it a little more time before I say for sure its working so I can't tell you with 100% certainty yet, but it honestly look like it's working.

Nothing against the emu oil, but...

If you have a problem area you really should try Crystal's Royal Secrets Sheep Sorrel ointment...www.crsecrets.com

@ JustTrena: Sounds like its working! I've been having mine for close to a month and I've put it all over my head, I usually have to straighten my hair to see how long its gotten. I've been on other forums and they say that it works for them. What I have noticed is my hair itches from time to time. Supposedly the emu oil is awakening the hair follicles that are sleep. So I'm not sure if that is what's going on.

@ Amaspiritartist: If you don't use it on your hair, then what do you use it for? One of my friends said she uses it for sore muscles.
So you don't think you'll ever use it for your hair?

I might try it on my hair sometime...but I'm really very happy with what I use on my hair...
...I bought it because it is supposed to be one of the best things to use on your skin...and to heal cuts, burns etcetera.....

Tracee, I just noticed you're in Dallas! I'm a Dallas girl too!I went to Arts Magnet High School!

I think if your scalp itches when you use it or anything else, you need to make sure its not an potential allergic...

Cool...that's even better! I'd read it can be used as an anti-inflammatory so maybe it'll help my hair and scalp!

Oh really? Cool! I went to Lincoln.

Yeah, I'm not sure if my hair was itching b/c I hadn't washed in almost two weeks or what. I just washed it last night, I didn't put the emu oil in it. Guess I need to figure out if the emu oil had a negative effect or not, not really sure.
