Isn't that the truth. Earlier this year I was at the shop getting kinky twists and this lady (who had to be early 20s) brought in a little girl with NO EDGES (or maybe even a good 2 inches missing) on one side of her head, who could only be about 3-4yrs old. She was trying to get the braidist (if that's a word) to pull what little edges she had, up to be braided. It was sad. The braidist was obviously uncomfortable but somehow worked it out... See. Miracles can happen lol.

U hit the nail on the head! This past wkend I had my fro out (pure laziness only), & this lil girl of abt 6-7 said she loved my hair & wanted hers just like it (she already had a perm). Her mom tells her "Sweetie, we dont have that good hair. We always have to have perms." If I didnt know JESUS...*starts singing "LORD be a fence all around me everyday..."*

Ms Hood you always have the most interesting stories That's sad that that child is gonna grow up thinking she has to relax her hair for it to be good. Did you say anything to the mom when she said that?

Thats b/c I work with the public girl lol. The lil girl was talking to her mom abt me & I overheard it. Had I been apart of it I'd have commented, but I dont invite myself 2 convos. I just looked at her til we made eye contact & shook my head. Basic broads make my head hurt...

I notice how many women have thinning/bald edges and still wear damaging styles that pull on and expose the baldness. Really makes me want to tell them about castor oil for hair growth but its really not not my place so I stay quiet and make a mental note to pick up more when I go to the store
