I got an early Christmas gift from hubby
and I have a question about my steamer.Do I turn on the steam button AND the ozone button?? Also, do you use your steamer b4 or after u shampoo? Today I tried mine before I shampooed and just applied some oils to dry hair before sitting under the steamer. Guess that counts as a hot oil treatment. |

Yours is different from mine. I don't have an Ozone button. Did the directions say anything that would help or it didn't come with any directions on that?
Far as when to steam that is totally up to u.. Mostly people do it after they shampoo but some people I seen u-tube videos that they did it b4 they shampoo.

The directions said to turn on the steam and ozone for five minutes then put the person underneath. Should I assume that I leave both on?
For some reason I was thinking that ozone meant it would be extra hot but after researching I'm discovering that it's a light that makes the water anti bacterial or something. |

I also use both! I steam my hair before I shampoo. Enjoy your steamer, it's a great gift!

I turn mine on also and steam after I shampoo... I apply my Deep Conditioner then steam. I wait 20 minutes and apply more conditioner then rinse immediately with cold water. That is the way my stylist did it and my hair felt amazing.

I just read that steaming with oil or dc on dry hair is best because once water hits hair your hair swells up and won't get as much of the good stuff from the added oils/dc as it could if you steamed on dry hair.
What do y'all think about this? I think I just like the thought of steaming first that way once I wash my hair I can just apply my dc rinse with cold water and be done! |
