Talking Has Anyone tried Products Others Raved About?

Youtube is something I use to run to when I was newly natural. I ran to find my texture and the recommended products for that type. Well...most of them didn't work. I've come to realize natural hair is trial and error and I can't go on other people's experiences with it. I have to find a product "blend," that works for me.

With that said,

KCKT-hated it. Used it and made my hair feel okay but the "detangle" not so much. I detangle fine with just plain old conditioner.
ACV/water mixture to seal cuticle-I can't use on my hair at all, not even a capful to 95% water, dries it out. Literally looked like the acid was eating my hair!
Greek Yogurt hair mask Curly Nikki used-Tried it and it made my hair too darn hard(Guess I'm protein sensitive)
Aloe Vera Juice to seal cuticle-Did not fare well on my hair and I noticed more splits after using
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration-Tried as a wash out condish and as a combing condish both utter fails. Hair felt even more dry after using
Eco Styler Gel(with olive oil)-tried using alot then tried "less is more" left my hair crunchier than a bag of Doritos. Also made it itchy.
After these I've learned what works for me is protein/moisture balance. What are your product hits and misses?

MISSES: Hair Rules complete kit for kinky textures was a TOTAL miss for me.At first my hair was soft but then my hair became dry afterwards.

Kinky Curly Curling Custard made crunchy curls.I tried using less and it didn't do anything for me.But, I love the Knot Today and I do the Kimmaytube Leave-In mix with Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Africa's Best Herbal Oil, and Aloe Vera Juice.

Carol's Daughter Tui Hair Smoothie and Spray was good smelling but did NOTHING for my hair.

I'm not really a fan of Cantu Leave In it does absolutely nothing for me...do not like Aussie shampoo it strips my hair way too much..
..Pantene relaxed and natural, I didn't like when I was relaxed and now I know I don't like it as a natural...There are some others but I want to revisit them when my hair grows out so I'll reserve judgement...

I'm transitioning for the second time, gave up the last time. Needless to say, I tried As I AM Co wash and it really stripped my hair and left it dry! Carols daughter hair milk, please my hair drank that stuff so quick and was looking for some more:-). Suave coconut conditioner, it was alright, Cantu Shea Butter cream, way to thin and dries my hair I could go on and on with the products I wasted my money on! So far, the only thing I found that can handle my 4a hair is Shea Moisture products especially the Curl Souffle:-)

Tried the As I Am cowash...no biggie, hair felt "too clean" and kind of stripped. Strangely defined curls though. Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter is gross. Boo hiss Used it and my hair felt hard, dry, and used trial and error with less/more. No. If anyone wants it, it's more than half full. Vatika hair oil...my hair did love it a few months ago but now it does nothing for me and gives me no moisture. Maybe when it worked before it was all in my head. Protein sensitive If anyone wants that it's the full bottle pretty much 10.4 ounces. Guess I should put this on the swap board, anyways Holler!

I feel you on the Relaxed and Natural for some reason my hair just felt too oily afterward. Yuck >_< I've never used the Aussie shampoo but I've used the conditioner and tried it on the tightly curly method. You should try Aussie Moist 3 minute Miracle for your deep conditioner. Love that stuff.

Herbal Essence Hello Hydration didnt have that great of slip and I hate how my hands felt after using it, very dry

Eco Styler leaves flakes in my hair both the clear & aloe

Hate both products that a lot of naturals rave about!
