You're not the only one who has that line of thinking. I thought the same...not enough cash for me to risk my health.

@ Ravenpriestess. I see your point !! Values vs money ! That is the question ! Not an easy on because fror some being natural may just be temporary or just a style of the moment ! Nothing wrong with that long as you are honest with yourself !

I would have to negotiate. I'd relax for a year, 3 TOPS. It can't be bone straight. More texlaxed. The $100,000 would have to be free and clear.

If they said forever, but it can just be texlaxed I'd reluctantly accept. Can't turn that much money down these days for hair..

Heck, that's probably the LESSER of what I'd do for $100,000!! >_<

Sooo I can never go back to being natural... EVER!! Nah mate they can keep the money lol. Even if it was millions with the same clause, it personally feels as if it defeats the
Purpose of leading a natural and holistic lifestyle.

Its like my hair is apart of me People say " i am not my hair" yea thats true. But to perm for money... I don't know it is just not my thing. This might sound weird to some people but IDC :-). I feel because my hair is natural i look more like my ancestors and i am more open to the past... I fit some where! Its like i found me, this is how God made me, and to relax again... its like kicking god in the face. i hope that translates how i wanted it. And before you ask.. Im not in a cult or any other thing you might think of. I just love my hair

I couldn't commit to any one method of styling my hair forever for any amount of money. Heck, I can't commit to any one style for a couple of months let alone forever. lol.

I wouldn't take the money if someone gave me a 100 thou to NOT relax or straighten forever. I know I am going to want to change it up occasionally and I don't want someone jumping out of the woodwork because I got paid to commit to a hair style.

A couple or three years maybe but not forever. I'd look at it like any contract. When you work for a company, you are basically signing a contract to abide by their value system. Same thing here, I don't think its selling out. Entertainers and sports figures do it all the time. Didn't Beyonce sign a contract to keep her hair a certain color for a few years? Sports figures sign morality clauses and people have been know to lose a job because they didn't keep the same look.

@madeaj so thats why Beyonce always has that blondish brown looking color all the time lol I couldnt do it. I dont believe in long term styles. Perms got so boring and uncreative. You always see people with a part on one side and the rest down nothing different unlike natural hair which calls for creativity
