How often do you see Black women with really long full hair in your life? My former hair salon had alot of clients with long hair. One lady's hair was all the way down her behind. I've had friends with super long hair and I'm starting to see more and more Black women with longer natural hair.

My sisters and I!!! Growing up people would constantly ask my mom if we had extensions. Like really? who would put extension in a 7yr olds hair?? Their natural hair is more wavy mine is was extremely curly!
@Ravenpriestess it is great seeing that!!! Good hair is healthy hair! |

My mom had really long thick hair but she started going to the hair salon every 4 weeks instead of every 3 months for a perm and now she has no hair. She had to cut it all off now she is going natural..

My hair was (and still is) pretty thick, the longest I've ever gotten my hair was bsl but I know it can grow way past that. My best friend has mbl hair (who is relaxed and has been for years) and most of her family (mom/aunts) have long thick hair too. I've seen a lot of black women with long hair, both relaxed and natural. I think its all about the upkeep, if you take care of it, it will grow. Relaxed or not.

My younger cousin's had long hair all her life 3ft of hair and thick too. Her braids are always about an inch thick. She has hair like my mom's mom and that side is pretty mixed up so maybe that's those Caucasian genes working for her. My hair is a lot finer than hers more like my dad's mom so I need a lot of TLC to keep it from breaking in order for it to grow long but I think I can get it pretty long too if I'm consistent. But my hair's never been too far past my shoulders until now.

I have seen very few black women with naturally long hair. But as far as I can remember I've always seen my mother with long hair and my play play little sister with long hair. my mother has always had long hair for long as I can remember whether it was relaxer or a Jerry curl; didn't really matter she always had long hair. That actually makes me mad because my mother has always known how to take care of her hair but never taught me how to take care of mine

Every now and again I see black women with shoulder or longer length hair. Whether your natural or relaxed the key is to take care of your hair.

12yrs ago I used to have long hair past my bra strap but I cut it of to get an s-curl texturizer for men cz I wanted curly hair not knowing I already had curly hair. Im on my way to long hair now the natural way. In LC if it's long it's weave most of the time but I've 👀 a few here & there w/long hair more so in BR & other big cities.
