Church member: "I don't think I would've done that!"
Me: "That's why we're 2 TOTALLY different people!"

Co-worker: "I know that if I do something like that, I'd look a sight!'
Me: *silence*

I think sometimes when people make statements like those it may be because they want to go natural but are afraid and want some encouragement. It's those times I share some of my story.

The only way to fail is to QUIT...but it is impossible to stop, a man or woman, WHO WILL NOT QUIT!!!

Her shed hair literally reminds me of pubic hair and I can't stand the sight of it!
Maybe it's me but my shed hair and my son's shed hair looks like fluffy hair balls. The hair on my arms, legs, and nether regions is slick and straighter. *Scoobie Doo voice* Huh?

Mine looks like fluffly hair balls too, but my friend's hair is very tightly coiled and there is nothing fluffy about her shed hair. lol

I probably would've laughed. I'm sure I'll hear worse has my hair gets longer.

I don't care if someone asks me to touch my hair because we all get curious. But a lady this weekend took it upon herself to just put her hand in my hair and pull at my curls to stretch them. I took the Lord, Zeus, Abraham, Allah, Ra, and all the disciples for me not to cuss her a$$ out!! I was so caught off guard! She just felt like she could invade my space and tug at my hair. It's kinda like touching a pregnant stranger's belly, you just don't do it without permission. I believe that not everyone that touches you, means you well. Give me the choice to allow you to touch me. IMO

@smcollier I touched another natural's hair at church. It wasn't pulling but I said oh, your curls are beautiful. We hug people at church, shake hands and everything.I feel it's different when it's some strange person but people I'm cool with that I know..It's fine.

If someone asks to touch my hair I don't mind but don't just come up to me and put your hand in my hair without asking. That's so rude you just don't go up to someone and start touching them without asking

People in my town think just because you are natural you only can wear an Afro. I explained to my co-worker that I can do different hairstyles & her response was "well then you wont be natural"..my facial expression went from to -_- ...I let her have that one..Smh.
