LOL I know that's right... I wish more of us would come to terms with our curly hair! I don't think there will be chemical relaxers in Paradise! LOL

Lol....yea that's sumthing to think about! I'm like I might as well learn how to deal with my natural hair now...but I'm in the process of transitioning ...been going since august 2008.

Until I can't take it lol....but I want to go for at least two years...maybe two and a half....I just want about shoulder length natural hair before I decide to cut it...I just wear buns all the time anyway!

LOL, I highly doubt that! I might as well get a head start on it. I've only been transitioning for 5 months though.

I don't remember when I got my first relaxer.but I know I wanted my hair to be like the kids on the "PCJ" box lol. I hated sitting there getting that crap in my head. and getting those nasty perm burns!

I got my first perm when I was in the first grade.I wanted my hair to look like one of the mixed light skinned girls in my hair.

I was 2 when I started getting relaxers. No wonder I have no clue what my natural hair looks like.

I was 3 years old when I got my first relaxer. My mother said my hair was really thick and very coarse. I have always had thick coarse hair even with relaxers and when you really don't know how to care for my grade of hair it can be a little too much.

I my memory serves me correctly I was about 11. My mom totally against it! My aunt permed my hair without my mom's permission....yep you can image what that was like [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] !!! My hair was thick and had a beautiful wave pattern but it was sometimes hard to comb....if I has known what I know now.....those curls were to die for. lol

I was about 8 or 9 when I received my very first perm. It broke my hair off and I didn't get my next relaxer until I was 12 and able to take care of it.

I'm glad I know what I know now, so when I become a parent I will know how to properly care for my child's hair and they will embrace their naturalness.
