  • Pressed Hair Styling Products

I was going to put this in a different category but it's about products so *shrug*
I'm looking for a product that won't revert flat ironed or blown out hair that will hold bantu knot outs or braid outs (or whatever). I prefer bantu knots over rollers but when I do them the curls or waves drop after 2 hours.
If anyone knows of a product, pleeeease let me know!

Hmmmm. Might have to check that out. I'm thinking about "going straight" for the winter.

                I checked it out. I don't think it's much of a styler.

wait, i didnt think it was a styler....
something like a keratin treatment that kinda makes a shield on the hair strands and helps it not revert.

where did you get it from?

Oh, I didn't buy it. I read the label online. That's not what I'm looking for. I don't have issues with my hair reverting. I just want styling products to use while my hair is pressed that won't revert my hair. For example, a product that will give me hold for a Bantu knot-out.

You could try a hair butter (shea, mango etc) or a pomade. I think anything thats not water based should be helpful. I would just be careful about not adding too much. Also, you could check out ravenpriestess' posts. She straightens every now and then, and she gives really good advice.

I forgot about pomades. I've never used one before. I'd like to try Oyin Burnt Sugar pomade on curly and straight hair. I guess I'll see about that. Thanks!
