I am off on maternity leave right now and my husband is seeing how helpful it is for me to be home full-time. He has said he would love for me to be a sahm, and so would I. I've wanted to do it every since we got married. But my income has always been needed to live the way we do. Plus, the whole family is on my insurance. Now, if I stop working, our family will be able to get on government insurance, so that's not a problem since all of our current docs accept it. But, I bring home about $1300/month. The $300 we can do without because that difference has been made by the smaller amount of gas money and not eating out for breakfast and lunch, and sometimes dinner. Right now, I've been cooking/fixing almost every meal since I'm at home and have the time do it. But, what can I do to make up for the other $1000? That's a large difference and I'm not sure if it's gonna happen. Also, we have three kids, 6, 3, and 3weeks. My husband works 12nights. So when I go back to work he will have to come home, watch the 3yo and the baby until I get here from work which will be about 30mins before he leaves to go back to work. So he won't get much sleep at all. And right now there is no way we can afford day care. Not sure of how this will work out, we might just have to suck it up and continue our regular schedule. Any advice ladies? Oh, and moving is not an option because we a buying out house.

Have you looked at doing surveys. My husbands best friends wife does it because she had just had a baby. Not sure how much it was, but it helped them bring in extra income. I also know technicians that work from home. I worked as a certified pharmacy tech and we had options to work from home the only catch was that you had to have someone watch the kids in the other room. Not sure your field of expertise, but you can look into work from home jobs that will be supplemental.

I an administrative assistant fir a doctor. Asked about working from home before I went on maternity
But said nada. I've been looking for legit work at huge jobs with no success. My neighbor does surveys. I'll ask her how that works. Thanks y'all
