I'm a junior! i went 3 months without a relaxer, but i didn't officially start transitioning until June, then i big chopped July 31st. so I transitioned for about 2 months. I'll be 3 months natural on Halloween. I had TONS of transitioning styles; roller sets, twist outs, braid outs, Bantu knot outs, braids, etc.. some people liked it, a lot of people didn't, but i didn't care if anyone liked it or not. my dad didn't notice until a few days after I chopped (he doesn't live with me). my mom told me she hated it, then she learned to love it. she always has fades & usually uses a texturizer, but now she wants to go natural completely.

I am a natural in High School! :-) I'm 16, I'm a Junior. I transitioned for 6 months, & I chop chopped my relaxed hair off 5 days ago, so I've been completely natural for 5 days lol. My classmates loved my hair, I got alot of compliments of my hair, no negative ones,My main transition styles were Grecian Twists, bantu knots, curly mohawks, braid outs. But now I wear wash & gos, or bantu knots with a scarf .

Yes, i'm a senior. I've always been natural my whole life. Most people like my hair..even the white kids tell me they wish their hair got like mine lol. My mother never let me get a perm even when I would beg her when I was little because kids made fun of my "puff ball". I'm soo glad she didn't let me get one.

I'm a senior and the majority of girls wear their hair in a straightened style 99% of the time I was like that in 9th grade but then I got tired of the upkeep.

Learning to love my 3c/4a hair for what it is each and every day. I'm in a 2 year waist length challenge, currently collarbone length. Never relaxed, but used excessive heat in the past.

Me too but because I got teased a lot I finally got my hair pressed for the first time in my life when I started 8th grade.My hair seemed to grow the longest ever but then I noticed it was stuck at chin length.
And in 10th grade I stopped getting it done because I thought it was a waste of money every 2 weeks and I just did a ponytail w/braidout bangs before I even knew what the style was.

The funny thing is at first my mom was against me even flat ironning my hair because she thought it'd get damaged like the perm she'd use in her hair.Now that I barely get it straightened its the opposite she doesn't like me to wear my hair curly unless its up in a ponytail/bun.Shed prefer I get it atleast blowdried.I always wear my hair up and that's the way I like it esp with a french braid(even when I get my hair straightened I wear it up,hardly ever down)but when my mom said it I felt offended.Even my best friend said I should wear my hair up(it was when my hair was flat ironned)but I guess they're not use to me wearing my hair down.If it was longer id for sure wear it down 24/7

Well I never do anything to my hair it's just naturally like this

I'm a junior class of 2014. 😊 I transitioned through protective styles. I wore sew ins for about 6 months, then I big chopped and wore braids for another 6 months. I've been wearing my hair natural since June. Some of my classmates had smart things to say, but none of their options are relevant to me. Lol. My mom didn't want me to go natural. I big chopped without telling her and now she loves my hair. My dad didn't really care.
