My fam is afro latins...my hair is real loose.n most Ppl tell me ur so lucky u got tht spicy look.u have brown skin but good hair.ur lucky u didnt get that nappy ish.n already from that statement i kno what kind of women im talkin to...n im like O__o huh?my mom is African American my dad is afro Latin.so for the women to talk about a culture n hair she has no knowledge about pissed me off.cuz one my mom is a 2a naturally.Ppl must understand the culture is diverse.2nd its ignorant.I love black women no homo.brown women(all shades) contribute to beauty period.brown lips, beautiful noses,n curly hair.Ppl dnt get that..n idk y...most Ppl expect me to just say latino.when in fact the root is African...w/o that being the base...our beauty would b bland n plain....nothin to really look at..nothin to make other Ppl jealous but curious about.while on ur hair journey..remember whether it b loose curls, tight curls,no hair, alot of hair.u were bold enough to start over n b more than proud to let the wrld see ur not ashamed of who u r.they can knock it but honestly they gotta respect it.props to u ladies.

I hate that too and it mostly from Black women. They say you can do the natural thing because you have good hair and I tell them they do too. The hair that comes out with our new growth (when relxed) is not a true indication of your hair type. Also I hate when people ask me if Im trying to grow dreads. My hair is super curly whether I manipulate or not so I dont see the correlation. Anyway Im happy on my journey and hopefully they're happy on theirs....

"Spicy look"? Sounds more like food than appearances.Lol..Got me wanting some Cajun wings.Anyway, black and brown women alike show the diversity of beauty. Since many of us come from mixed cultures and races anyway, we are like a garden of beautiful flowers.I've ceased to understand the fascination with looser textures. When we learn to appreciate who we are then we can stop coveting what others have.
