Has anyone used this before? What were your results?

I've tried it for shingling a wash and go...from what I remember, I loved the results, but I hate the shingling process, i have too much hair for that lol. The hold isn't firm enough to slick back edges or hair for me, but for curl definition without a lot of crunch, it was great. Here's a pic...

Thanks!!! I am having a problem keeping my PJism under control and I have been eyeing it forever. since I am letting my hair grow I need a KCCC alternative and hopefully that will be it! I bought it today and can't wait to try it out but my hair is in coils.

I wasn't able to see your pic until I got home and your curls are beautiful! Thanks for sending the pic. Do you still use the gel despite the lack of a strong hold?

Thanks! No, I actually haven't used it since that one time, isn't that a shame? I usually take pics to document all of my different products/stlyes though, it's good to see what does what till you figure out what you LOVE.

Now that I have my moisture game locked down, I don't use any products for a wash and go...so I have a 99% full jar of Smooth and Shine in my cabinet, along with many others, lol.

I use the Argan Oil Eco Styler to slick back my edges and sides, it is similar to the Smooth and Shine as far as softness goes, but it has a lot more hold.

Wow-nice you don't use and products for a WNG. I dream of that day!

How long did it take you to understand your hair needs?

Well, I BC'd 8 months ago...I didn't have much hair to understand the first couple of months (hehehe), but I'd say that once I figured out what my hair's porosity was, a light bulb went off!

My hair is low-porosity, clarifying shampoos are good for me, and light, creamy products absorb into my hair better than heavy products (like butters) that just sit on my hair.

Have you figured out your porosity yet?? It helps sooooo much with figuring out which products and how much product will help your hair thrive.

Yes I just did a strand test in the past few weeks and my hair floated like it was sunbathing in a pool forever. I had to force it down lol Yes everything sits on my head and I steer clear of thick daily use products and gravitate towarda clear to slightly opaque products. That is why I swear by gels as thy absorb better. And my hair likes oils too.
