You are NOT alone. I hate everything Shea Moisture makes...though I am interested in their new color line!

I learned that my hair HATES shea butter, so the entire line is out. If I see shea butter in the first few ingredients of anything, I try to stay away. The only thing I kind of like that has shea butter in it (which I bought on accident) is the Honeysuckle Rose conditioner., It has really nice slip, BUT I feel like my hair is coated when i rinse it out.

Hits:

- Elasta QP Mango & Olive Oil Curl Pudding
- Smells good and made my hair soft.

- Oyin Hair Dew - pretty good slip. I don't think I have ever experienced that type of slip with a leave-in

-Herbal Essences Hello Hydration - Smells great and had great slip

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration with DevaCurl Arc AnGEL - I didn't really care for the Deva gel because it was super drying, but this combo worked much better. My now 3rd day wash and go hair is a bit dry, but nothing compared to the way it felt the last time I used it.

Hmm that sounds pretty much like me, but recently as in last night I tried their African Black Soap Purification Mask and OMG it was BOMB!!! I really wasn't going to say anything because curlies in my area love Shea Moisture lmao but that is the only thing from their line that has worked for me and that was the last thing I was willing to try, it is definitely a staple. JSYK, I have a mixture of fine and coarse low porosity hair.

the only items i like in the sheamoisture line is, the original leave in, the purification masque and the coconut& hibiscus souffle gel( its like an all natural curl activator gel to me ) I still have the same jar I bought when it came out because you only need a tiny bit

Im protein sensitive with high porosity hair that acts like its low at times

Hit: Naturelle Grow Mango and Coconut Water Moisturizing DC, great slip, super soft hair. It's a staple because it's one of the few DCs that makes my hair soft after washing

L.A.C.E. Naturals shipping and customer service, I can't wait to try these products.

Miss: Oyin Shine and Define

Hit: Shea Moisture color line (light brown), Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo.

I really like this shampoo and it makes my curls pop, however it shrinks my hair up in the craziest way possible.

Miss: Being lazy and not detangling before pre-pooing. Had shed hair coming out the whole wash process.

Confused: I love the SM Purification Masque but I think using shampoo or co-washing afterwards makes my hair dry. Maybe too much cleaning??? Hmmmm
