I use the loc method now and my hair is so soft and moisturized. I use ag fast food leave in conditioner as my leave in, coconut oil for my oil, and curl enhancing smoothie as my cream. Working great so far.

Thanks for this thread. I need to do something for my daughter to help her retain moisture. I couldn't figure out if the "l" was just water or if using a water based leave in was ok too. Glad to have the info!
