I haven't been able to do much with these braids because of the weather and I think next time around (on any vacay) I'll work with my own hair. My scalp is a little dry and itchy and it's not easy (for me at least) to cleanse it well w/ the bulky braids and the drying time is ridiculous. I'd like to keep them up longer but I think I'll take them down on Tues. and give it a good wash and DC but they'll be back soon. I'm pretty sure I can keep them in for 2wks if I were home where I'm not in this crazy weather and going to the beach and swimming 2x a day. Man I don't wanna go home!! lol

Today I have swoop-frenchbraid-bun type thing going on. IDK what the hell I did with these braids I was just trying to get them off my neck and back, it's too damn hot!

Scalp spray?

Haven't found any out here. I've saw most other products for African American or curly hair but nothing for braids. The only ppl I've saw w/ braids are tourist.

Hawaii has worn my ass out! Went clubbing last night w/ a few Marines (we're staying on base) and had a blast! We went to 4 clubs and walked up and down Waikiki's main street where all the shopping, clubs, and other tourist activities are.

We got in about 3 or 4 then got up at 8am to go to the swap meet that wasn't even open lol. We ended up going shopping in the army mall which was cool they were having a really good sale and they don't have to pay taxes. I was hoping to find Shea moisture or Kinky Curly at a cheap price but no they're priced the same just no taxes I may go back and get SM deep conditioner before I leave I'm running low on DC's.

It's only 7pm but if I wasn't still out enjoying this beautiful island I'd be knocked out! I am exhausted but I am still thanking god every 5min for blessing me with the opportunity to be here. I seriously can't understand why anyone would ever move from here. I know a few ppl who are from here and now live in the bay area. It's sooooo freakin beautiful and everyone here is so nice everyone smiles and say Aloha and Mahalo they really "hang loose"! My dad came here a few yrs ago and he's been back every summer since that 1st visit and I now understand why. I will definitely be back!

Going home today 😞😃 Hawaii has been awesome we did so much in the last 6 days and it's finally caught up to me. I woke up feeling a little different can't really explain how I feel but it's not a good feeling, I didn't sleep well and I think I have a fever. I can't wait to get home to hubby in kids. Here's some pics from yesterday.


This may be the reason I feel a little off I don't know which was harder hiking up or down but I made it all the way to the top and the views were amazing!


Last night we went to a Luau

We made island accessories and watched some really good performances and had dinner that I had no appetite for. I think I had 3 bites.
