The Life of a Capricorn....
Hi Beautifuls
I’ve been lurking on CN for a while now and figured I may as well contribute, right? Let’s see where should I start?? My name is Angel and I remember being six and seven years old and dreading walking up to grandma’s house to get my hair pressed. I hated it!! LOL I can just hear Grandma Josie now, “come on baby, stand up on the stool and hold your head down”. LOL Then I started seeing my aunts wearing a Jheri curl (sp?) Aw man….I thought that was the best thing in the world. I thought they were fly.  They had long hair and it was loose curls and it was beautiful! I begged and begged my mom to let me get one. After a while I guess she got tired of hearing it and took me to the salon. I don’t exactly remember what age I was but I think I may have been in 4th grade maybe. When I first got it….I loved it. It was long and curly but I didn’t like the smell or the juiciness of it YUCK. I didn’t know I would have to sleep with a plastic cap on. So, the next time I went, the lady left the chemicals in my hair too long. Guess what happened?? All my hair fell out!!! It was maybe 2 – 3 inches long!! I don’t remember being upset about it. My mom was on fire though. So, of course we didn’t go back and get a “touch up”. After that grew out she put a perm in it. I continued to get a perm until the day I BC’d August 13, 2010. I will attach some pics later of those days when I wore a perm. SN: I recently found out that I am pregnant. 10 weeks. This will be number 2 for me. I have a son that is 22 months. The hubby and I are very excited. I hope to keep you girls updated on this as well. I hope you all continue on the journey with me. Until next time! Smooches!

I saw the title and had to come in and rep for my CAPS! Congrats on the new baby. Girl I remember having a curl walking around with my hair all juicy and my collars all jacked up. I used to be sparying that world of curls activator on my ish like every 20 minutes so you know I was shining, I had long hair too...you couldn't tell me nothing (in my Kanye voice). Girl after about a month, my mama was like hell no this has to go you spraying all this activator on your head and ruining my furniture and your clothes. I was fly for a month though!
