hey my hair is a 3b/c and very soft. I BC'd August 3, 2012 and It will be 7 months Sunday but my curls have it's own agenda... I seem to have to co-wash everyday, my hair is very fine and soft it looks like an afro now but I never could keep styles in ... growing up when my hair was natural, braids would take my hair out in chunks including kinky twists or any hair that wasn't mine... I could hold braids (my own hair) in then but like I said my hair would come out in chunks and now my hair is too soft and curly that braids won't stay past 24 hours. I've tried the twist out but since its curly it intertwines. I'm really at a lost for styles to do on my hair other than a mohawk (which I tried eco styler gel but it still won't hold after minutes so I have to use bobby pins and since its soft it doesn't really get the mohawk look) How do I style this natural curls? p.s. when braiding the ends curl up by it self so no pins or rollers for that just the center of the braid breaks apart so you have the top front braided the back braided but the middle undone... like a train the front is one way the back is going another way and the middle is just well there... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

I've been natural for a year now and although my hair has grown significantly from when I got the BC, I've yet to find a product that will give me defined curls. My hair is fine but THICK. At best, my hair curls on the ends but that's about it. I've done twist outs but they don't really last long because my hair is soft and doesn't hold the twist. I'm really getting discouraged because I LOVE my natural hair but I don't want to rock an Afro/puff for much longer. I recently realized that I was doing some natural hair no-no's(i.e. brushing my curls out during the detangling process, using shampoo frequently, allowing a friend to flat iron my hair without a heat protectant twice). However, is it too late to get glamorous curls? Should I do the BC again? Until now, I've been relaxed all my life so are there any products or techniques that you can recommend? I did notice that my hair was curling with the Shea Moisture products when I washed my hair prior to brushing them out in the detangling process. Someone help please!
