Default Thin-To-Thick

So I have been natural now for about 2 or so years and the grade of my hair has always been very fine, though I've had a lot of hair on my head. Is there ANY WAY that I can make my hair thicker? I love how my curls are and I wouldn't change them for anything... but when I want to wear my hair blown out/flat ironed occasionally, its very hard for me to actually make that style last because my hair is so soft and very thin when flat ironed straight. PLEASE HELP!! ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD HELP!

Where in St. Louis can I buy raw/unrefined shea butter? Making a purchase online is so not worth it. The shipping and handling is as much as the product.
Thanks!

Hi, I'm in St.Peters, but the beauty shop by the Walmart off the hwy 70 and Zumbehl exit sells it. I'm not sure if u live anywhere near there, but HTH! Oh and whole foods has it too! There should be one near you.

Default Whipped Shea Butter vs. Creamy moisturizers(no shea )

I was wondering what makes some products like Shea Butter just sit on the hair and some creamy moisturizing products w/ out raw shea mixed in penetrate better? I bought some Belle Butters Unyevu Butter and it justs sits on my hair.It proved great definition but it was semi oily and easily tangled. When I used Bee Mine products which are very creamy water based(some) I had soft hair that didn't tangle and felt super moisturized! Is it that some peoples hair can't take shea butter?

I get a different result from home made shea butter than with Store bought Shea butter . My hair is softer and doesn't feel as dry with the home made. Not quite sure why.

I think I'm just going to try it through out the week using the LOC method. If that doesn't work well that Unyevu Butter, then i'm just going to use it on my body! When I went out for a run this morning my hair was hard with that butter in it. The cold air and the butter combo made my hair feel like a helmet!
