Very nice. You did a great job.

Worsted yarn always starts off a bit stiff imo. Once you wear and wash it, it will become a lot less stiff. At least that's what I've found.

Next time try using a softer yarn. Caron has some amazing soft inexpensive yarn. Red Heart also has softer yarns. You may have to go to a crafts store to find it but RH does have some.

Fabulous! I absolutely love it! I am not a red heart fan. Try lion brand, patons or vanna white

I'm not a Red Heart fan either. I have a few skeins left from a few years ago I'm trying to use up.

Lion brand yarns are so soft. I absolutely love And have a ton of them. I've never tried Vanna's or Patons however.

I have this fuzzy yarn I think I'm going to use next. It's a multi colored yarn of black, grey & white. It's a huge skein so I'm thinking a hat and scarf set. Maybe some gloves if I have enough left...... Which I think I should.

So I have a few things of yarn. I would like to make a extra hooded- hooded scarf, a hat ( the slouchy kind ) and a pair of mittens.

Optimistic right?

Just wondering if you guys can guide me in the right direction in terms of tutorials or something.

Here's what I'm dealing with:

Here's a scarf I was working on:

Daaang! If you need help using up that yarn, you can send some to me. But yeah, you have all the skills necessary to make a hooded scarf. I made a toddler sized one and am working on a couple more (and yeah, that's my dog's nose photo bombing my picture..lol).

I agree.. Red Heart is not my favorite yarn either. I use baby yarns oftentimes because they are softer, come in decent colors, and you can get them in huge sized skeins. Lion Brand Pound of Love comes to mind.
