It's not that they told me not to crochet it's that they feel no one would want to buy my creations. Yet they I'm very open to criticism and they never have any thoughts about what I could/should do differently to make an item better. They always say they like or love this item or that item.

But I thought about it a lot last night and early this morning. I've come to the conclusion that THEY just don't want to support me in what I want to do. I also think that them stating that no one would want to buy my creations translates to = they wouldn't want to pay for the items they like so much. They want it for free and that's not happening.

Lol, I heard that. I honestly believe the beauty of any handmade piece lies in its flaws. They give the items character.

Exactly..lol.. anyways you catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. If they want something for free, they better at least come with a really good compliment (whether they mean it or not)!

I use my 'not for prime time' hats as deep conditioning caps that I thrown on over my plastic bag covered head..lol. Other not-for-primetimers are now coasters, dog blankets, or back drops for taking pix.

Ooh and here's a pattern you may like:

It looks like it's right up your alley.

Arab carpet makers used to be so well known for their beautiful and intricate works.. even they would say that they would intentionally leave in a single mistake in their carpets so as to remind themselves that beauty is not in perfection, but in flaws. ITA with that.
