I'm gonna dig up my fabric links....joannes has gone crazy on prices...at least here. Hancocks is down to one store and banashes has moved to the mall, wamart no longer sells fabrics so they feel like they ca get away with charging 12.00 for the same calico prints that have always been 1.99 to 6.00 a yard....since they have many stores scattered around the city. Virtually no competion. I'd rather spend the money in gas getting to the cheaper places.

@kalajoh1 Those shoes are cute! I like the colors. Maybe a linen type of fabric would go good with them?

@peepla Do you check eBay for fabric? I got a really good deal on a lot of denim fabric. Also, a lot of sewing blogs I browse mention fabric.com. I've never purchased from them but it's worth a try.

I go through sewing spurts. I always make something for friends having babies; quilts or burp cloths. I love mimi g. Her site is great and her tutorials are easy. Look her up on YouTube or her blog. No pattern needed most of the time.

I'm just getting into sewing, really excited. Went and bought some fabric today. May start tomorrow on it. I'll be sure to show you ladies how it turns out. I have been looking on YouTube and my mom will be helping me get started (she used to make my sisters and i clothes) anyways wish me luck
