Hi everyone I'm working a 12 hour night shift tonight. I recently was promoted at my job but part of the move was filling in on shifts when I can not find coverage. So far I've had no problem till now on third shift weekend, which I do not like on any level! I'm a up with the birds(5am) person so this hard but hey I have to pay the bills lol!

I love this thread!! I'm also a fellow night shift worker(7p-7a) have been for 5 years. I'm a nurses assistant in a NICU and love it. I am trying to make it back to school to get my generals done so I can try to apply for an RN program. I'll definitely be using this app at work or like most of u when I'm awake at home lol. I'm actually doing a deep condition right now. Thinking about sleeping with it on but idk lol I'm just lazy and don't wanna tackle this hair. I'm blabbing gonna go lol 😊

Hi ladies I am also a night nurse 7p-7a so I can relate to what you are saying. I am also in school to get my BSN and often find myself unable to complete school work because I am so tired.

Hey! I'm also a night shift nurse. Like a previous poster mentioned, I believe that working nights has had a big impact on my weight and my mood. When I worked days, I was happy, 20 pounds lighter. I worked out everyday. Now I can hardly get up to do anything around the house. I hate night shift :-\

Hello my fellow night shifters! I'm actually off tonight/morning. I'm up bout to get ready for church and came across this thread. I work nights Mon-Fri as an Ultrasound Tech. I actually love working 3rd! The thing that works best for me is to stay up when I get off in the mornings at 7am. I don't go to bed until like 12p or 1p-ish. I sleep until 9:30p and get up and get ready for work. I treat it like I work 1st shift. People who work 1st don't usually go home and go straight to bed. They stay up and do their housework/shopping/exercise or whatever. I work five 8hr shifts and don't have any kids so this works for me. I'd probably do the same thing if I worked four 10hr or three 12hr shifts. I'd just go to bed a little earlier.

I'm an RN on an ICU floor. I work midnights 7-7am. I've gained about 15 pounds since I started.... Ugh! I really need to get off this shift or at least find a exercise regimen that will work to help me get this weight off! -_-

Tonight will be my fourth twelve in a row. I am super tired and I'm only off for one night then back again for one more before a three day break.
