The henna website was overwhelming. I know NOTHING, and that site is a bit much. Have no clue where to look first. Going to keep searching I guess.

Today just sucks.

Ok sorry about the overdose of info. Pretty basic info is that henna is a plant that is good for hair and it leaves a red color deposit in the hair.

Don't apologize. My husband came home and showed his a** in under five minutes. I'm just agitated in general.

I got so frustrated with my hair. Ugh.

I can't seem to find any henna locally. If anyone has any suggestions about places to find it in Jacksonville FL I'd be appreciative. I'm beginning to hate the orangeness.

Hi PaganWifey~

I'm still researching henna. I have color but if you don't keep it up you will get the look you have. I have an interesting color on my hair, and I just want to make sure that I use the right henna so my color won't turn a strange ugly color on me.

There are a lot of websites where you can purchase henna....I think butters-n-bars has henna.

Look at the forum for henna..you will get a lot of information there!!! Good Luck

Online purchases are a no go. Most use USPS and the mail carrier here is on some other stuff. Neutral If I can't FedEx or UPS it, I'm not buying it online. And money is an issue. If I don't have to pay shipping I'd rather not.

Hair was decent today. Getting locked out of my car and standing in the effin' cold didn't help. I didn't go out like I needed to.

So I'm still trying to get this pictures to cooperate with me and transfer over.

I cowashed yesterday with some Head and Shoulders conditioner (thanks for the issue FL) and the curl definition was really nice. I threw in some Hair Milk from Palmer's and it was nice.

Shampooed Saturday (I think).

Conditioning treatment Sunday (olive oil, head and shoulders condish and Redken Color Safe conditioner)

Cowashed with Herbal Essences HH Monday.

I'm gonna dye my hair today (after I sleep and wake back up) and I'm excited. It was either that or lop off all the ugly orange. I can't deal with it anymore.

What the color originally was:

What the color has faded to:

When I first started mixing the dye (I WILL be getting a silicone whisk or a plastic fork next time)

Dye's all gone it darkened up considerably

Shit got everywhere (FUCK YOU NAVY!)

All applied. Processing countdown begins!

It's starting to get darker. The color I picked out was a rich brown like I wanted but it had an intense red base so on top of my faded red I'm anticipating a very vivid brown

Getting darker

This is the color I'm using

I know you've seen some of these but I xposted the entry from another board for ease. I tried a new conditioner and it's absolutely amazing!!!!!! I'm really stoked about it. Will take more pics when I wash out the condish. Blondie said something that really stuck out. If you always treat your hair like it's on its last legs you'll be rewarded. (Total paraphrase.)

Twist out fail. Ugh. One half of my head was decent looking the other half not so much.

The color turned out great though.

Thank you! The brown had an intense red base so it just blew up on those ends.

What product did you use to do your twist?

I spritzed my damp hair with a braid sheen spray that I have around and then I used Burnt Sugar Pomade to actually twist.

The twists were fine just not the twist out. I've been natural going on three years and I still ain't gotten one to come out right yet. That's not the twist out in the pics, that's right after I washed out the dye.

The color came out great! Have you ever tried ORS lock and twist gel for your twist/twist out? You can find it at WalMart for about $4 or $5 bucks.

No I haven't but I was trying to show one of my friends what twists were and so I found a video for her on Youtube that used ORS and they looked good.

My twists (when I take my time) are on FIRE. The twist out....I don't get them all, some are defined some ain't.

Yes, gel should help you obtain more definition.

I think size control would help as well. I've gotten better but some are still WAY bigger than the others.
