My lil man's birthday is actually Friday (Feb 12th). I didnt want to have his party during Valentines weekend. Thanks. I cant wait to try the Qhemets. Yesterday was super busy! No the jewelry has not arrived yet. Hopefully it will come tomorrow.

I meant to send Nikki the email from my gmail account so Lynnieluve would show up but I forgot. My first name is Saundra (Like from the show 227) and yes my middle name is Lynn.

Weekend Hair Update

Aww man, I feel like crap. My son gave me his stomach bug and I have been expelling things from both ends (TMI, I know). My "Me Time" started out great. I came home and washed, deep conditioned, and moisturized my hair and put on a plastic cap. I ate lunch in peace....no little person all over my plate. Then it was naptime. Two uninterrupted hours. When I woke up, it was downhill from there.

(BTW, I used Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo and Aussie Moist Conditioner. I also did an oil rinse. I deep conditioned with KBB Luscious Locks Hair mask. I used my beloved Giovanni Direct Leave In and coconut oil. I probably should have used olive oil.)

Back to the story....I used ORS Lock and twist gel to do my two strand twist. I did them small so it should have taken me 2-2 1/2 hours to finish. Because I am sick, it took me 4 hours. I was determined to finish my hair. The first thing my mom asked was, "Are you pregnant?" NO MOMMA!!! LOL!!

I will oil/grease my scalp with castor oil mix tomorrow. I am gonna try oiling my scalp every other night this week.

I will post pics of the party, my weekend twist out and my current twist tomorrow.

My review of the KBB Luscious Lock Hair Mask.....Now those of you who know me, know I dont like to give a verdict on a product after only one use but OoooWeeee!!! I deep conditioned with the Hair Mask under the dryer for about 40 minutes. My hair was so soft, it was kinda scary. When I took the plastic cap off, just about all of the product has absorbed into my hair. I will try it again a few more times before I say it's a keeper.

Goodnight curlies!!! Congratulations to the Saints!!

I'm sorry you and your little one have been feeling bad. Every time I complain about feeling bad (in the least) someone asked if I could be pregnant....I'm like, "Are you?" No matter who asks lol!

I am laughing because of your statement, it was so soft, it was scary. I have had those moments before and its really is scary....lol

Can't wait to see the pics.

BTW, I saw your debut on CN. I enjoyed the interview and you look great.

KNH, told me the Ghee could be used as a deep conditioner. You know I will give a review when I use it.

Thanks. He is better now. I am drinking lots of fluids to get rehydrated. LOL! I'm not as bold as you are. My momma knows we plan to start trying again sometime this year. That's why she keeps asking. She is being greedy. Her grandchild count is about to go from 2 to 4 in April. My brother and his wife are expecting twins. A boy and a girl.

Thanks IB. I am hoping its a 24 hr bug too. I still feel crappy today but no rest for mommy. I've been saying I was gonna submit my story to Nikki since I BC'd. When she offered a free product, how could I resist.

(Week 10 Day 1)

Wow! I cant believe it's been 10 weeks since I first started this challenge!

Anyway, I am still not feeling the best but being a mommy doesnt stop because you are sick.

I plan to oil my scalp today. I took my do-rag off to take pics for you guys so when you see the pics, know that I didnt do anything to my hair. My twist are smushed. I used ORS Lock and twist gel. I was heavy handed so they are hard. I will use my homemade spritz across the week and they will soften up. Without further delay......

Now here are a few birthday party pics and my twist out from the weekend....

My lil man has on the blue sweater vest....he loves to write

Watching MickeyMouse Clubhouse DVD

I can't ever get him to look at the camera when I ask him too. He always look or smile after you have already taken the pic. My hair was cute though. LOL!!

I had a little frizz going on but it was still cute.

That's all for now curlies!! Have a great Monday!!

Yes it was. Your twists are lovely as usual. I dont know if its your method, products or both but they looks so "defined". Definitely can't confuse your twists with "dreads."

Glad the party was a success and I see that cute cake

For what? CurlyNikki? Nikki is giving away Afroveda Shea Alma Whipped Butter Cream for interviews. I shouldnt be telling you this. I am limiting my chances of winning.

The KBB Luscious Hair Mask came with a sample kit I purchased from KBB.

The product I won on from http://janeensjourneyback.blogspot.com/ was the Qhemet Biologics Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee.

The pic with my son was a twist out. You get the locs thing all the time and people always think my "twist out" are two strand twist. LOL!!!

I get the locs thing every once in a while but it doesnt really bother me. As for the twist, I think it is the products I use for my twist that make the difference. LadyMika gave me a recipe for a knockoff version of MJ Baby Buttercream. I cant wait to try it. So far I get better results with commerical products than with my homemade stuff for my twist/twist outs.

Sorry Nubie. I wont try anymore of my KBB stuff until next month. As for the name, I should have email Nikki from my gmail account so it would read Lynnieluve. I didnt think about it until I saw it on the blog. Thanks for the compliment. I will try a braid out when my hair gets a little bit longer. I tried a couple of braids and realized I would have to do too many braids at this length. And the braids were hard to take out too.

Love those chunky twists Lynnie! And that cake was too cute and your lil man of course!
I need to start my youngest son's bday party for April from now because I'm such a procrastinator. Not sure of a theme though...he likes just about anything his big brother likes....but he does get excited to see Elmo so that may be the theme!!

Thanks!! I was a procrastinator this year. Yea, go ahead and at least brain storm what you plan to do. I didnt order the cake until Thursday evening. I did an Elmo theme last year. Showing DVD's at the party has been a big success. When I turned on the DVD, the children got so quiet and was very attentive.
