Default Recommendations...

Ladies,

I need a book to read...

My favorite authors are Eric Jerome Dickey and E. Lynn Harris (RIP). I have read Carl Webber in a pinch but his characters are too much, even for me.

I recently read Something Borrowed (movie recently came out in like May) and the sequel Something Blue, and her other book Heart of the Matter, all by Emily Giffin. All great.

Jodi Picoult is also a favorite of mine. She writes a lot of medical/legal fiction which I can appreciate as a nurse. I've already read The Help by Kathryn Stockett (I think lol.) And it was cool. The book should be cute. I think Emma Stone will do great.

Oh, I've already read the Dragon Tattoo series. Great reads. Heavy and deep but good nonetheless.

So... Here's where you guys come in. I have about 4-5 weeks until school starts back up and I normally only read in between semesters. Depending on the length of the book I can probably squeeze in another 2-4 before school starts again.

So...Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance! 

***update***
Did u guys see thy E. Lynn Harris has one last book with RM Johnson called No one in the World?!?

Carl Webber has some wild characters but I like the drama. I tend to lean towards the drama, scandal, deceit etc. What else do you like? Are those too much for you?

Have you read anything by Mary Monroe (God Don't Like Ugly-series)? Kimberla Lawson Roby? JD Mason <-- a fave of mine, And on the Eighth Day She Rested was really good. Millenia Black - The Great Pretender was a page turner for me. I have tons of good books I could suggest lol. Most recently read 32 Candles by Ernessa T. Carter, loved it!

Well yesterday I read E Lynn Harris/RM Johnson's book. It's so bittersweet. I bought it yesterday and finished it today. It's call No One In the World. I liked it. Anybody else pick it up yet?

I'm just so eclectic. I've read Some of Webber'd stuff...
