Welcome!!! Yes indeed, fellowship is always good in Christ! We just finished Matthew and continuing to Mark 1 - 4. (Is everyone cool w/ that?) We can read at our leisure & discuss as we can. With Christmas upon us, let's focus on the reason we celebrate. Matthew and Luke has a written account of our Savior's birth. We know it's not his actual day, but that's the day set aside. Make it special, don't focus on material things. Hope it's a blessed one for you all!! ✨🙏

Christmas!

Christmas is the day that the world celebrates the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. But of course as believers we know that we are to celebrate our Saviour everyday. We do this through praise, worship, and building a relationship with God. We also do this by living our lives in such a way that our lives give Glory unto our Heavenly Father.

The Lord our God was born for us. He lived for us. He died for us. He rose for us. What do each of these mean?

(1) The Lord was born for us/The Lord died for us.
*while we were yet sinners, God so loved the world that He gave his only Son to be sacrificed for our sins. Through the perfect blood of Jesus we are reconciled to our Heavenly Father and forgiven for our sins. This means that the everlasting Grace of God is sufficient for us. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God. Nothing. Sometimes we have to stop condemning ourselves. Those things that we can not forgive ourselves for, just know that God has already forgiven you for that. He is waiting for you to move forward knowing that His Grace is sufficient and that His love is everlasting. Grace is a free gift. You must freely receive it. Accept that we are sinners. God is not interested in your perfection, His is interested in your heart. Repent and be freed through the perfect love of our God. When you repent, think not on those sins again. Think on the perfect love that has freed you. We serve a God that is always moving. Don't dwell on past things.

(2) The Lord Lived for us.
*The Lord our God lived for us here on Earth as a perfect example of how to live a life that is Holy, pleasing and acceptable in the sight of God. He triumphed over trials that are common unto man [such as rejection, loneliness] so that we can behave, walk, and shape ourselves after His image.Because our Lord lives we have the perfect example of how we should live our lives and how we should shape our walk with God.

(3) The Lord rose for us
*After being sacrificed and crucified for our sins, the Lord our God rose with all power in His hands! This means that as Children of God there is nothing that can defeat you. You were made in the image of Christ, and like our Saviour, you can rise.

*God loves you so much that it is unimaginable! God bless you all and Merry Christmas!

Hey Ladies this group is wonderful. I was catching up and reading some of your threads. I was wondering how you guys would feel about purchasing a book to assist in studying the bible together? I'm not sure if someone else recommended that or not. Abiding Love by Kimberley Taylor is only .99 cents on Amazon.com for kindle. It's a study book for women that talks about women and Gods promises and desires for us. It's broken up into three books. Abiding Love is the first and it talks about restoration and forgiveness versus condemnation. All the study sections are on various women of the bible. It has questions for reflection. It's pretty helpful in studying the word.

Hi! Please do! . I'm Trina.

In November/early Dec, we had finished Matthew. We were to pick up Mark right before Christmas, guess we can continue there. The format is we read 4 or so chpts beginning of the week, then use Fri -Sun for discussion, sharing, or questions. We're glad to have more ppl to study with.

Please feel free to contribute as the Spirit leads.
