Ladies I have a question that I've asked on FB, have any of you ever sat down to read your bible book by book, chapter by chapter? Not verses you were told to read out of context but reading each book, each chapter and each verse. I have been doing this lately and I'm amazed of all the stuff I don't know and the fact that myself and others have depended so much on Pastors and others to tell us what is in the bible when in fact it might not be there in the way that they say. I am simply amazed at what I believed because of what I've been told rather than reading for myself.

I've read the Bible start to finish a couple times before. Then another time I did just the gospels, and once the Psalms & Proverbs... Honestly, I still need to be more faithful in reading/studying daily. No one can know everything about the Word. God is multifaceted & can reveal Himself multiple ways thru, for ex - "Lord is my Shepard". Though we read, know, or hear the word multiples time that it's familiar, there's so much relevation. Thing is when it is so familiar, complacency can set in. No, we can't solely rely on pastors & other church clergy to tell us the word. They are anointed & ordained to teach & leas but we must still "study to show" our ownselves approved. We can't rely on them alone. They are God's mouthpieces for the masses, but He thru the Spirit makes the word clear to us.
