The Other Side of Paradise

I read The Other Side of Paradise a few months ago. It was AMAZING!!! I don't want to give too much away but its a memoir about a Jamaican/Chinese woman (StaceyAnn Chin). The story takes place in Jamaica and is full of obstacles that a young girl should never have to face while growing up. Its definitely a page turner! Most of the book is in Jamaican Patois (i think that's what its called) so its a little difficult to read at first but you get used to it. StaceyAnn is also a Def Jam spoken word artist and poet.

I HIGHLY recommend this memoir!
